“Our Services Are Sufficient for All”
Mission:
Grace & Mercy Community Outreach is a non-profit organization whose mission is to serve, empower, and work with individuals in our community to improve their quality of life.
NEED HELP!
If you have any transitional problems in your life ... We are available.
WAYS YOU CAN HELP
We serve men who are homeless and in an acute crisis situation our 12 Month Transitional Housing Program takes a unique 365-day approach, which has been designed to equip and develop foundational life skills for our residents.
Once a month our volunteers and tenants go back out into the community where they were once found homeless ad give back by participating in our Direct Assistance program. The Direct Assistance program is where we pack and serve light lunches for the homeless on Saturday mornings.
Your gift or bequeathment of any size will help to support real women eager to break the generational cycle of homelessness in their lives and their children’s lives.

VOLUNTEERS
Beyond our live-in workers and resident, we rely heavily on outside volunteers, supporters and partners. Volunteers trained, and immediately put to work. To inquire please contact our volunteer coordinator, at
Our current volunteer positions include:
MEAL KINGS
Our intent is providing healthy, well-balanced meals to everyone who lives in the house. This includes able bodies and disabled bodies as well as you and your family if you choose to eat with us. As a meal king you would be responsible for providing dinner, either delivering the meal already prepared or cooking in the house kitchen. We typically have some food available including rice, pasta, meats, and produce. If you would like to use the food here instead of purchasing your own feel free to call and see what’s here!
HOUSE DUTY
On a typical afternoon it can be a amass of activity: meals being prepared, donations arriving, volunteers working in the home, and so forth. Regular activities for a volunteer on house duty include answering the door and phone, sorting donations and the mail, light housework, and simply being present. For four hours (10am-2pm or 5pm-8pm) Monday-Thursday.
MORE ABOUT VOLUNTEERS:
-
We often draw volunteers from our neighborhood partners, to include local churches and social groups.
-
We draw on the professional and case management services of a number of outside agencies, complementing our pastoral care with the particular resources of local agencies who are skilled at working with men in crisis. Unfortunately, we cannot use volunteer case managers.
-
We ask Community volunteers come in a spirit of mutuality and solidarity, and possess a desire to share their skills and resources.
Volunteers make a weekly commitment to us and ideally commit to continue weekly for at least one year. Stability and consistency are vital in our hospitality ministry.
