COMMUNITY:  ” A group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common.   A feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests and goals”.

This is the traditional definition of Community.  To us, it means so much more than that.

​

·         It means coming together for a common goal.

·         It means providing a service or item to share with someone else.

·         It means offering support, and encouragement when someone around you is in need.

·         It means sacrificing something of yourself for the bigger picture of helping others.  We see all of these things everyday at Grace &Mercy Community Outreach

 

As we grow and flourish in our journey, we have had the pleasure of being introduced to a whole new set of supporters, friends and comrades in some of the local corporations that we have been privileged to work with.   There are many wonderful people who work for companies who make it a priority to give back and engage their employees in community projects and giving campaigns.  From organizing an employee work day, to providing backpacks filled with supplies for school kids, to sponsoring a charity golf event, these companies continue to provide support and funding for many non-profit organizations like ours.
